The Library Home was a complete remodel plus an addition to a tiny structure which was initially the public library in the Sellwood neighborhood of Portland by Jessica Helgerson Interior Style. When the library moved, this creating was re-purposed as an workplace for the church across the street. When the designer’s clients approached them, it was with the notion to transform the developing into their house.
The designer’s have been struck by how beautiful the volume of the old library was, and decided to preserve the huge open space to home a great space, with kitchen, dining and living locations. They enclosed the open front porch to generate an entry and powder space, and added on to the side of the creating to generate two little bedrooms and a new bathroom. They did a lot of excavation function in the basement where we added a sauna, laundry space, exercising space, and a recording studio for the clientele who are each voice actors.
